We believe that communication between parents and teachers is an essential part of your child’s learning. The purpose of the Communication Book is to facilitate daily communication between teachers and individual parents. Teachers will update parents of any upcoming events and any happenings in class that the parents should be aware of. Feel free to leave the teachers a note in your child's 'Communication Book' for any special instructions or request. We also encourage parents to read and sign the book every time it is sent home.

Daily Communication

Parents of students in PN1, PN2 and N2 will receive a weekly insert on what their child has been introduced for the week. The teacher will also write a short comment on your child’s progress, behavior during the lessons.

Weekly Progress Update

Parents of students in K1 and K2 will receive a monthly ‘Skill Readiness Journal’ with inserts on what their child has been introduced for the month. Teachers will assess and update the objectives of each lesson and activity. This is to ensure that parents and teachers have a clear vision of the individual child’s progress and is able to set goals and targets together.

Monthly Update

In each quarter in other words term, we would organize excursions to a place that would be in relevance to the topic being learned at school. Visits to theatrical plays will also be organized. Photographs of children engaging in various lessons, demonstrating various goals and work samples of individual child’s performance will be emailed to parents.

Quarterly School Activity

We hold parents-teachers conference not only to discuss the child’s performance, but also set targets for the individual child. Parents are also given the opportunity to speak directly with the teachers to learn about their child’s school experience. Parents and teachers can share various insights to understand an individual child’s needs. We consider this exchange very essential for the development of the individual child.

We will also send home the portfolio during the half-yearly conference with the parents. Each child’s portfolio will consist of all the work and progress and social development for six months. This portfolio is to enable the parent to understand their child’s learning and progress.

We encourage parents to take the time to spend time looking through their child’s work together with their child and discuss their work and ask questions about their learning. We also ask parents to praise their child for the wonderful work samples

We strongly believe that successful learning requires parents and the school to take a positive interest in child’s learning by supporting and celebrating their successes.

Half-yearly

Each year the school hosts an annual concert. The Concert will also serve as a graduation concert for the Kindergarten 2 students before they move onto their primary education. The concert will be themed after the topics they had been learning throughout the year. We also host family-based events like sports day, open house to encourage parent engagement.
